Air Canada has announced two new non-stop routes that will debut in Spring 2020 using its brand-new Airbus A220-300 jets. The airline will begin nonstop service between Montreal and Seattle as well as between Toronto and San Jose. These will be the only nonstop flights available to these areas from any Canadian-based airline.

Air Canada has revealed that its new A220-300 jets are equipped with all the latest technologies, and passengers will have a choice of Business or Economy Class seating for these flights. The airline has also stated that it is running introductory pricing on these flights for anyone who books a flight between now and the August 28, 2019. Travel dates must be between May 4 and July 31 2020, to be eligible for the discounted tickets.

The airline is pleased that the new A220-300 jets will be a game changer for Air Canada. The aircraft offers longer flight capabilities, and the advanced technologies of the engines allow these planes to reduce fuel consumption by 20 percent per seat, even with a full plane. This reduction in fuel consumption also means a reduced amount of emissions, making the A220-300 a splendid environmentally-friendly plane.

Air Canada has stated that additional nonstop routes from Canada to various areas are now under consideration because of the capabilities of this aircraft model. The carrier has yet to announce which routes it is considering at this time.

For those who are interested, both Seattle and San Jose routes will be year-round service with daily flights offered. These new routes will complement other Air Canada flights to these destinations from the other Canadian cities.
