Alaska Airlines has announced that the carrier has enhanced the benefits of its Alaska Mileage Plan frequent flyer program. These new changes were designed to enhance membership benefits and increase the ways members can earn and redeem their miles. The new enhancements go into effect immediately.

In addition to expanding its partnership with Rocketmiles.com, a hotel booking site where members can now use their miles to book stays at over 400,000 hotel properties around the world, the airline launched its own new site called MileagePlanHotels.com. The new website is part of the Alaska Mileage Plan loyalty program and gives members many new benefits.

On the new site, members can earn up to 10,000 miles per night for booking a hotel stay through the platform. They can also cash in their miles for hotel stays or use a combination of miles and money to secure a room. The site offers access to hundreds of different brand name hotels, boutique hotels and resorts in every location that Alaska Airlines services.

For members who use the Alaska Airlines branded Visa credit card, the deals are even better. Cardholders can already earn miles on everyday purchases and secure discounts for airline tickets and hotels. Now, cardholders can continue to receive these benefits in addition to reaping all the rewards of the new program offers.

Alaska Airlines stated that these are the only changes to its award-winning loyalty program. Benefits offered before, such as the ability to cash in miles for rewards with as few as 5,000 miles, continue to be available. The airline believes that its loyalty program is among the many features it offers that contributes to an exceptional flying experience for passengers.
