All Nippon Airways is pleased to announce that voting has begun for the new dishes to be added to its inflight menu for Economy and Premium Economy Class passengers. The airline invites all to vote on the dishes to help All Nippon Airways decide which dishes will ultimately be offered on its international flights departing Japan from March 2020 to February 2021.

All Nippon Airways has split the voting period into two - October 8, 10 am JST to October 17, 11:59 pm JST for the five Donburi options inspired Eastern Japan; and October 18, 10:00 am JST to October 27, 11:59 pm JST for the five Donburi options inspired by Western Japan.

The top two Donburi options from Eastern and Western Japan garnering the most votes will be added to All Nippon Airways' inflight menu for its international Economy Class and Premium Economy passengers to enjoy.

What's a Donburi, you wonder? A Donburi is a traditional Japanese rice bowl meal topped with various ingredients. Different regions of Japan are known for their distinctive Donburis and there are different variations to boot, too. For instance, a seafood bowl is known as Kaisendon while a beef bowl is known as Gyudon.

All 10 Donburi dishes pitting against each other have been crafted by the elite All Nippon Airways ‘THE CONNOISSEURS' chef team. From Eastern Japan, the Donburi options include those from Hokkaido (Deep Fried Chicken Don); Tohoku (Broiled Pacific Saury Don); Hokuriku (Grilled Mackerel Don); Kanto-Koshin (Tuna Cutlet Don); and Tokai (Pork Cutlet Don).

The five Donburi options inspired by Western Japan have not been revealed at this time, so keep your eyes peeled!
