American Express has announced that the newest location for their luxury airport Centurion Lounge will be at New York JFK in Terminal 4. The newest Centurion Lounge will be a two-story, 15,000 square foot lounge and will offer the same upscale services - complimentary custom bar and food menu, premium restrooms and shower suites, access to high-speed Wi-Fi, noise-buffering workspaces and more - found in the other nine Centurion Lounges American Express operates.

The Centurion Lounge has become a favorite among travelers because anyone who holds an American Express Platinum Card or Centurion membership can access the lounge at no charge. Platinum Cardholders can bring two guests into the lounge for free, while Centurion members can bring their immediate family or two guests for free. Members do not have to fly on any specific airline or use any special seating class to gain access to the lounge.

American Express has stated that the new lounge should open up sometime in early 2019 and will provide guests with all the benefits that they have enjoyed in other Centurion Lounges. The company also revealed that there will be additional benefits available to guests at the JFK Centurion Lounge, but they have not provided any specifics at this time.

The two-story lounge with large glass windows will overlook the airfield. The design seems spacious and modern and definitely has an upscale appeal. The JFK Centurion Lounge will be nestled in the area post-security on the 4th floor Departures level of Terminal 4.

At this time, American Express has not released any additional information about its new lounge. All they have shared is that Terminal 4 was the perfect choice for their newest lounge destination since it handles over 11 million passengers a year.
