A new American Express Centurion Lounge just opened in Charlotte, NC. The lounge is located between Concourse D and E at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). Its location at a busy intersection within the airport means that the lounge is accessible to travelers using any gate.
Charlotte's Centurion Lounge is notable because it is actually the largest to ever be added to the Centurion network. This lounge boasts more than 13,000 square feet of space. In addition, it can welcome up to 250 guests at once. Guests can visit the lounge between 5:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. daily.
Guests of the new Centurion Lounge in Charlotte will notice floor-to-ceiling windows that offer tarmac views facing the city. The list of amenities offered by the new lounge includes free Wi-Fi, private office suites and private shower suites. American Express is also taking a lot of pride in the food offerings at its newest lounge. Local culinary talent has been brought in to develop a very robust menu. The lounge's debut menu includes biscuits with ham, buttermilk fried chicken with Carolina slaw and dishes paired with braised collard greens.
A Centurion Lounge isn't a Centurion Lounge without a bar. Charlotte's new lounge features a gorgeous marble-topped cocktail bar stocked with carefully sourced wines and liquors. Durham-based Counter Culture is the coffee provider for Charlotte's Centurion Lounge.
Who can enter Charlotte's Centurion Lounge? Entry is free for American Express Platinum and Centurion Cardholders. Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card members can also access the Centurion Lounge when they pay for their Delta flights using their Card. Centurion cardholders can actually bring along members of their immediate families or two other travel guests. You'll need to be departing from Charlotte to use this departure-only lounge. Connecting flyers will be allowed to enter as long as Charlotte is not the final destination.
