It has only been one month since BLADE launched its continual air service between Manhattan and New York JFK International Airport, and the company is already expanding. The demand for helicopter service to and from the airport has been much greater than anticipated.

Now, BLADE will begin to offer service to LaGuardia and Newark, as well as increase service between Manhattan and JFK with immediate effect.

BLADE service for LaGuardia and Newark Liberty will launch from BLADE Lounge East, located at the East 34th Street Heliport. Transportation to JFK will continue at the BLADE Lounge West, located at the West 30th Street Heliport.

The cost of transportation to any of the airports will be $195 per person. BLADE is not increasing its price for service to LaGuardia or Newark. This price includes complimentary ground transportation between the airport helipads and the terminals.

The price is very cost-effective for anyone who is looking for quick transportation to the airport. An SUV from a ride share app that is large enough to carry baggage will take four to six times as long to arrive at the airport from the same starting point and cam often cost more than the price of a BLADE flight during rush hour.

BLADE is working with Bell Helicopters and uses the Bell 206L-4 helicopter for its helicopter transfers. This is one of the quietest and most environmentally-friendly helicopters in the industry. The increased helicopter flights have not impacted the noise levels in Manhattan, and several agencies within the city have rated these helicopters as noise-free. BLADE also works with Airbus SE and Lockheed Martin Corp.
