Carnival Cruise Line just unveiled its newest ship, the Carnival Panorama, in Long Beach, California. Wheel of Fortune's Vanna White was on hand to unveil the ship as the ship's godmother. The Carnival Panorama is the first new ship to debut on the West Coast in two decades.

There was a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Carnival Kitchen, the first culinary center on a Carnival ship. The in-fleet culinary center offers decorating and baking demonstrations as well as interactive cooking demonstrations. Carnival also celebrated the opening of the first Sky Zone trampoline to be offered on a cruise ship.

The Carnival Panorama set off on December 11 for a three-day inaugural sailing to Ensenada, Mexico. Starting on December 14, Carnival will offer seven-day cruises leaving every Saturday from Long Beach. The Carnival Panorama will visit popular tourist destinations the likes of Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán and Cabo San Lucas.

Guests aboard the Carnival Panorama will enjoy plenty of exciting and new amenities. In addition to the highly anticipated trampoline park and interactive cooking classes, the cruise ship will offer a spa, an onboard brewery, a water park, a ropes course along with plenty of amazing dining options, including food dreamed up by celebrity chef Guy Fieri.

The ship has 15 decks and 2,004 cabins and can accommodate around 4,008 passengers and 1,450 staff. At 1,060 feet long, she is the largest ship in Carnival's fleet, until 2020, when the Mardi Gras makes her debut.
