Congress has renewed Brand USA through 2027. The move was celebrated by the U.S. Travel Association after it was announced earlier in December. Brand USA was set to expire at the start of 2020. However, the vote to keep the program going will ensure that more work can be done in the years to come.

The work that Brand USA has been doing to bring in international visitors and raise the profile of the American tourism industry is something that's looked upon favorably on a bipartisan level. In fact, the benefits of the program are seen on both federal and state levels.

Brand USA is a marketing organization dedicated to highlighting the United States as a tourism destination. Brand USA has already been credited with adding close to 52,000 jobs to the economy since it first went to work in 2013. In addition, it is estimated that Brand USA has created $47.7 billion in economic impact during that same period of time. It is believed the organization helped to bring 1.1 million international visitors to the United States in 2018 alone. The visitors in 2018 had an economic impact that added up to around $8.9 billion.

The organization is seen as highly valuable by the U.S Travel Association, many high-profile brands in the tourism industry and people who run tourism-centered businesses. Around 15 million Americans earn a living from the travel industry in the United States. The most impressive thing about Brand USA just might be the fact that taxpayers in America don't actually pay to keep the organization running! Brand USA operates using a dynamic concept that actually uses private partnerships to fund its work.
