Disney World has announced that it is giving the Cinderella Castle a makeover very soon. The iconic structure, which sits at the end of Main Street, is something that everyone recognizes, even if they have never been to the Disney World theme park.

Disney has released a photo of what it plans to do to the castle. It appears that the only real changes are deeper blues, brighter pinks and more intense gold for the color scheme. These are the same colors that the castle is now, but the updated colors are much bolder.

Last year, Disney updated Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland. The two castles are very similar in appearance, and now both will have a similar color scheme once the Cinderella Castle is updated with the new transformation.

According to Disney, the castle's royal makeover will begin very soon and be completed by the end of this summer. It has not stated if the castle will be blocked from view during this period. Disney did share that Happily Ever After, the famous fireworks show conducted at the castle each night and Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire, a stage show that takes place at the castle, will continue to take place every single day.

On a side note, Disney World will also open two new rides this summer, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure and Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway Ride. Both rides are sure to please and they will replace some of the less popular rides at the park. For those who are wondering, Disney recently announced a price increase for Disneyland tickets as well as Disney World tickets, too.
