The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas is set to close for four months. While the closure may be a pain for some, it's for good reason. The hotel is poised to undergo extensive renovations. Sometime in the first half of 2020, the Hard Rock Hotel will be renamed the Virgin Hotel Las Vegas.

The relaunch will take place after an eight-month renovation. During the last four months of the renovation is when the hotel will be closed. Renovations are estimated to cost about $150 million and are set to begin next year at the end of the summer or beginning of fall, all the way through the spring of 2020.

Once the hotel is fixed up, the hotel will throw a huge reopening party to celebrate its rebranding to become the Virgin Hotel Las Vegas. All 1,500 guest rooms will be overhauled and renovated. The hotel will also offer more restaurants, an ultra lounge and a reinvented and refined 5-acre pool deck. There will also be more conference and events space, along with an expanded casino floor.

The Hard Rock Hotel has been a fixture in Las Vegas since 1995 when it first opened its doors. Just off the strip, the venue offers plenty of dining options, a number of bars, the popular music venue The Joint as well as plenty of entertainment options. The hotel is trying its best to make sure that employees are taken care of and return to their same jobs after the renovation is completed.
