Hilton just opened the first-ever hotel directly connected to London Heathrow's Central Terminals. The hotel is opened under its Garden Inn brand. The Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Terminal 2 offers 369 rooms, most of which offers views of the runway.

The new hotel couldn't be in a more convenient location. Guests will be able to walk directly to the Queen's Terminal via a walkway, and the departure gates are just minutes away. Other hotel options are not nearly as easy and require some form of transport. The Park Inn Heathrow is just under a mile from the airport, while the Holiday Inn Ariel is just over a mile from the airport. The Sheraton Skyline is located 1.2 miles from the airport.

Among the 369 rooms available, the 14-floor property offers 23 family rooms and 10 suites. The suites offer a connected seating area with a 55-inch HDTV and a sofa bed. The hotel also boasts a 24-hour business center and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Those who are staying for business will also be able to take advantage of the five high-tech meeting rooms available at the hotel. The largest meeting room has space to accommodate 65 people. Whether traveling for business or pleasure, you will be happy to know that the hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property.

The Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Terminal 2 also offers food and beverage options. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Apron restaurant. For those who don't have time to dine, there is a 24-hour store where plenty of takeaway options are available for purchase. Those who need their dose of caffeine will appreciate the self-serve specialty coffee bar there, too. On the other hand, guests looking for a drink will love the rooftop bar called The Runway Bar. As its name may suggest, the bar offers 360-degree views of the runway, though it won't open until August.

Guests can reach London in approximately 15 minutes using Heathrow Express. The property is located close to local attractions such as Windsor Castle, Leogoland, Thorpe Park, Twickenham Stadium and Hampton Court.
