Hyatt is looking unstoppable. The hotel brand just announced that it plans to open 200 new hotels in the Americas by the end of 2022. Properties will be opened both inside and outside of the United States under the expansion plan. We also know that California, New York and Texas will be getting new Hyatt properties on the domestic front. New international Hyatt properties will be opening in spots like Canada and Mexico.

Hyatt guests won't have to wait until 2022 to experience some of the exciting new properties that are set to be rolled out by Hyatt. The Hyatt Centric will be opening its doors in Manhattan next month. This property is a full-service lifestyle hotel that emphasizes modern luxury. In addition, the Thompson New York from Hyatt will be opening right next to Central Park in Manhattan at some point during 2021.

Many of the Hyatt hotels opening throughout the next two years will not be traditional Hyatt properties. The brand is instead focusing on its offshoot brands. The list of new openings planned between now and 2022 is full of properties that fall under the categories of Alila, Miraval, Park Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Destination Hotels, the Unbound Collection, Joie de Vivre and Thompson Hotels.

The 200 new Hyatt properties coming to the Americas will join the existing 585 Hyatt hotels that are already in operation. The Hyatt brand will ultimately be 33 percent larger by the end of 2022 than it was at the end of 2019. You can take a look at the very extensive list of new Hyatt openings on the Hyatt website.
