Lufthansa will offer service to a total of five Canadian gateways in 2020. The big news is that Lufthansa will be rolling out a new route between Ottawa and Frankfurt on May 16 of 2020. The five-times-weekly route will run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The route's launch will mark the first time that Lufthansa has flown directly to Ottawa.
Ottawa's status as a popular destination for both business and leisure makes this news very exciting. Lufthansa will be offering service to Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and Ottawa by the summer of 2020. - Year-round daily flights directly from Toronto to Frankfurt and Munich.
- Daily flights from Vancouver to Frankfurt and Munich.
- Daily flights from Montréal to Frankfurt and Munich.
- Seasonal service from Vancouver to Zurich via Edelweiss.
- Seasonal service from Calgary to Zurich via Edelweiss.
Lufthansa's new route between Ottawa and Frankfurt will be offered on a seasonal basis. The route will run from May 16 to Oct. 24. Flights will be offered on the Airbus A340-300. Passengers on the route can choose from 30 Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy Class Seats and 21 Economy Class seats. Tickets for the route are on sale already. Travelers can book tickets using Lufthansa's website, sales counters or partner agencies.
It has also been announced that Brussels Airlines plans to launch direct seasonal service between Montréal and Brussels in the spring. The new route is set to launch in March of 2020. Brussels Airlines is part of Lufthansa Group.
