Moxy Hotels is a relatively new Marriott brand. The hotel brand is aimed at attracting millennials who desire more in a hotel. Moxy Hotels offers rooms that are smartly designed, fun lobbies and lots of communal space, all at a lower price than traditional Marriott hotels.

The new concept is a hit and is expanding fast, and the hotel giant will be debuting Moxy Hotels in Mexico City in a few years' time. The 120-room hotel will be nestled in the stylish and hipster neighborhood of Chapultepec, near the Roma Norte neighborhood.

Construction is expected to start late this year, and it's expected to open sometime in 2022. The rooms will be on the smaller side yet comfortable and cozy. Hi-tech touches that millennial travelers demand will be available, too. The hotel will also offer plenty of social spaces where guests can mingle. In addition, it will offer a rooftop bar with amazing views of the skyline.

In addition to having a rooftop bar and social spaces, the new hotel will offer a vibrant food and beverage program featuring a 24/7 grab-and-go market. Like other Moxy locations, Moxy Mexico City will offer a comfortable space to relax after a long day, all with a local flavor.

Currently, Moxy Hotels has 50 properties peppered across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. The millennial-focused brand debuted in September of 2014 with its first location in Milan, Italy. While there are already 50 locations all over the world, Moxy Hotels is certainly expanding and has 112 properties and over 20,000 rooms in the pipeline.

Marriott's Moxy Hotels is banking on a different approach aimed at guests who want more than what a typical hostel offers but spend less than they would at a traditional hotel. For those who don't already know, Moxy properties are through and through unique. Instead of checking in at the lobby, guests check in at the bar. Those looking for a more communal experience and don't want to spend too much are sure to appreciate what Moxy Hotels has to offer.
