Marriott is about to begin a very big year. The hotel brand has more than 30 new luxury properties planned for 2020! The new additions will be located all over the world. What's more, we've learned that Marriott's new properties will be scattered primarily across a handful of brands.

JW Marriott, W Hotels, St. Regis and EDITION are all opening highly anticipated new properties in 2020. That's not all. Marriott will be expanding the Luxury Collection portfolio. The Marriott Luxury Collection is actually a continuation of the former Starwood Luxury Collection. Take a look at some options that are about to be opening up if you're planning to book a stay at a Marriott property somewhere in the world next year.

JW Marriott will be opening several new properties in the United States. New JW Marriott hotels are coming to Savannah, Orlando and Anaheim. International properties will be coming to Japan, Vietnam, Mexico, Istanbul and more. We're going to see a lot of activity from W Hotels in Italy in 2020. The brand will open the W Milan and the W Rome. In addition, W Hotels will be making its way to Toronto, Philadelphia, Chengdu and Melbourne. It really doesn't get any more diverse than that when it comes to expanding a portfolio! Marriott is also planning a very exciting EDITION property for Reykjavik, Iceland. The Luxury Collection by Marriott is bringing in three new properties in 2020. The new properties will be located in Nashville, Budapest and the Australian city of Hobart. St. Regis is opening new properties in Riviera Maya, the United Arab Emirates and Cairo.

Marriott is really only just getting started when it comes to plans for long-term growth. The hotel giant actually has a total of 185 new luxury properties in development around the world. The full roster of soon-to-be-developed properties could see Marriott adding hotels in more than 15 new countries and territories around the world.
