Royal Caribbean has just announced that it will launch its very first Ultimate Fitness Cruise from the Port of Miami on January 21, 2019. The maiden voyage will embark on a 5-day 4-night cruise designed for fitness enthusiasts. The cruise will leave Miami and visit the Bahamas.

Dubbed WOD on the Waves, the cruise will take place on the newly retrofitted Mariner of the Seas. The ship has recently undergone $120 million worth of upgrades. The new ship features everything from new attractions to enjoy while at sea to new dining experiences as well as entertainment venues.

WOD on the Waves will feature a fitness and wellness-based theme throughout the cruise.
Some of the highlights that guests will enjoy include:

  • Daily scheduled classes targeting different types of fitness led by athletes, trainers and coaches
  • Customized fitness classes
  • Curated meals developed by athletes
  • Workshops focusing on top nutrition and training strategies
  • Athlete-based shore excursions
  • Themed parties in the evenings

The cruise will feature many top performing athletes. These athletes have backgrounds in the CrossFit Games and several have Navy Seal backgrounds. Each of the athletes is currently active within their sports.

Passengers on the cruise will also have access to all the fun activities that are offered across Royal Caribbean cruises. Some of these activities include surfing, ice skating and a rock climbing experience. Guests can also enjoy glow-in-the-dark laser tag, a virtual reality bungee trampoline experience called Sky Pad and the Escape Room adventure that encourages friends and families to work together to solve a puzzle so that they can 'escape' from the room they are in.
