Singapore Airlines is set to give a facelift to its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges located at Changi Airport Terminal 3. Renovations totaling approximately $37 million (SGD$50 million) will start this August and be completed by mid-2021.
The Terminal 3 lounges will have a 30 percent increase in space and total guest capacity. The new and improved lounges will boast more open spaces and improved facilities along with upgraded food and beverage selections.
The Private Room and First Class Lounge will offer seating spaces for those who are looking to work or relax. The First Class Lounge will still feature a flagship bar, while the Private Room will offer a full-service fine-dining section. Travelers will be able to enjoy a variety of seasonal food and perennial local favorites. For those who don't already know, the Private Room is an incredibly exclusive lounge located within the SilverKris Lounge and the First Class Lounge.
The new Business Class Lounge will offer four different zones to cater to fliers with different needs. Those who don't have a lot of time can enjoy a light snack in a relaxed setting, while those with longer layovers can enjoy international and Asian cuisines in the dining hall. There will be signature local delights available at the live stations.
The new Business Class Lounge will also offer a full service bar, which, in the morning, will be a self-service breakfast station. Those who need to get work done can do so at the productivity pods, which will be located in a quiet corner. For those who want to snooze a bit before their flight, there will be comfortable chaise lounges.
The KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will offer much more room; it will double in capacity. The lounge will offer dedication working spaces as well as bigger al fresco seating and dining areas. Looking to freshen up? Those who want to take a shower before their flight will be able to use the shower facilities.
The SilverKris Business Class Lounge is open to Singapore Airlines First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as premium Star Alliance passengers. Singapore Airlines PPS members can enter the SilverKris Lounge, too.
The Private Room is only open to Singapore Airlines First/Suites passengers. The First Class Lounge is open to Singapore Airlines First/Suites passengers and all Star Alliance First Class passengers. Those who want to get into the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will need to be a KrisFlyer Elite Gold member.
Guests affected by the renovation will be able to visit temporary lounges during the lounge overhaul period. Singapore Airlines has stated that the construction process will be executed progressively over four phases in sections, starting with the Business Class Lounge, followed by the First Class Lounge and the Private Room, and finally the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.
