New sky gondolas are about to change the way you experience Walt Disney World. Disney Skyliner gondolas will debut in Orlando on Sept. 29. This fun, ultra-comfortable way to travel through the park system offers amazing views that you'll only see when you're up in the sky. Here are the points that will be connected by this new state-of-the-art gondola system once it's up and running:

  • Hollywood Studios
  • Epcot
  • Disney's Art of Animation Resort
  • Disney's Pop Century Resort
  • Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Disney's Riviera Resort

The Disney Skyliner comprises 300 cabins that will be transporting guests at a speed of around 11 miles per hour. The new gondolas coming to Disney are amazing all on their own. However, some of the cabins that visitors can ride in are special because they feature graphics depicting some of the biggest Disney films and characters. That includes icons like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Here are some of the films that are being featured on the gondolas:

  • "Coco"
  • "Finding Dory"
  • "Monsters, Inc."
  • "Pirates of the Caribbean"
  • "Ratatouille"

Guests can expect for rides on the Disney Skyliner to last anywhere from five minutes to 15 minutes. The gondolas can rise anywhere between 15 feet and 60 feet in the air during a journey. Disney has also shared that each cabin will feature twin wooden benches that can comfortably seat up to 10 guests at a time. There will be special stations within the park where guests can hop on gondolas as they pass by. It has also been revealed that Disney employees will be able and ready to pause the gondolas at any point when guests in wheelchairs need extra time to board.
