The TWA hotel opened earlier this year at New York's JFK Airport. The hotel offers a host of amenities including a rooftop pool with fabulous views of the runway and plenty of bars and restaurants. On November 30, it will get an ice skating rink. The owners of the hotel are calling it the Rockefeller Center of Queens.

The ice skating rink will be called the Runway Rink. It will be a custom 56′ by 44′ rink and will be located right next to the hotel's famous Connie cocktail lounge. The Connie is a restored plane that is now a cocktail lounge.

The rink will be open seven days a week, all the way till the end of February. It will open from 4pm to 9pm Mondays-Thursdays. On Fridays, it will open from 4pm to 10pm. On weekends, it will open from 10am to 10pm. The cost of admission will be $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12. In addition, ice skates will be for rent at $10 for adults and $8 for children. Skating aids will be available for children, too.

Ice Rink Events will install and manage the rink. The company has experience in building rinks all over the planet. While there will be an ice skating rink, that's not the only winter-themed feature guests can look forward to. The hotel will also have holiday lights and a tree for visitors to enjoy.

To celebrate the occasion, the TWA hotel will also offer Sno-Caps candy, frosty beers and other drinks and snacks. Those who aren't keen on lacing up and getting on the ice can enjoy regularly occurring ice skating shows. The company will also sell branded TWA hats and scarves.
