United Airlines is thrilled to announce its United Polaris Lounge at San Francisco International Airport has won the Best Business Class Lounge in the World award in the Skytrax 2019 World Airline Awards. The independent and impartial global airline satisfaction study took into consideration votes by millions of travelers from around the world.

That's not all United Airlines can smile about. Besides taking home the Best Business Class Lounge in the World award, United Airlines also snagged the Best Business Class Seat in North America and Most Improved Airline in North America awards.

According to Mark Krolick, United's vice president of marketing, United's Polaris customers adore the Polaris Lounges for the very fact that they have access to gourmet food and drinks, comfortable daybeds outfitted with Saks Fifth Avenue blankets and pillows, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, charging ports for mobile devices, and modern, tranquil spaces to relax, recharge or even get work done. Guests at United Polaris Lounges can also enjoy a holistic sensory experience thanks to the custom scent, subtle mood lighting and curated music playlist that all come together beautifully.

In addition to the United Polaris Lounge at San Francisco International Airport, United Airlines has also opened United Polaris Lounges at Chicago O'Hare International Airport, Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport and most recently, Los Angeles International Airport. Next up, United Airlines will open the United Polaris Lounge at Dulles International Airport. The airline's lounge at Washington Dulles is expected to start welcoming guests in 2020.

The Chicago-based carrier couldn't be more pleased to have gained the recognition of global travelers, especially since the carrier has been working hard to offer its customers a top-notch travel experience with the introduction of its revolutionary United Polaris product. At this time, around half of United Airlines' widebody fleet of planes now offer the new Polaris Business Class seats.
