Calgary-based WestJet is pleased to announce the airline will soon add a new seasonal nonstop service linking Calgary and Boston, Massachusetts. The new seasonal route will operate daily beginning May 14, 2020, in time for the busy summer travel season.

When the new route between Calgary and Boston launches, those traveling out of Calgary will have a total of 19 United States destinations to choose from.

The flight from Calgary to Boston is scheduled to depart Calgary at 9.45am and arrive in Boston at 4.15pm. The return flight from Boston to Calgary is scheduled to leave Boston at 5.00pm and arrive in Calgary at 8.15pm in the evening.

WestJet's new route should please travelers looking to visit Boston or Calgary with ease. At this time, no other carrier offers direct flights between Calgary International Airport (YYC) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).

However, WestJet will face some competition when Summer 2020 rolls around. Air Canada recently announced it will also be adding nonstop flights that link Calgary and Boston for the summer season. Air Canada's direct Calgary-Boston route will also operate daily, from June 22 through September 7.

For travelers who are wondering whether both routes are scheduled to depart at around the same time, take heart whichever flight you choose to book depends very much on your preference as well as budget. Air Canada's flight is scheduled to depart Calgary at 4.15pm and Boston at 6.30am in the morning.
